The Solomans Temple & Pooles Cavern Circular takes you on a journey through Buxton’s history and mystery—because who doesn’t love a bit of intrigue with their exercise?
First you’ll climb up to Solomon’s Temple, a Victorian folly perched on a hill, where the views are so stunning you might forget you’re actually hiking.
Then if you wish you can explore Poole’s Cavern, a limestone cave so impressive it’s been wowing visitors since the 16th century (just don’t forget your entry fee) or the cave might give you the cold shoulder.
Anyone not wishing to do the Cave there will be a cafe to sit and enjoy a hot drink a maybe a cheeky slice of Cake!
Perfect for those who like their walks with a side of history and a dash adventure.

4.5 Miles. Moderate. Varied Terrain & Walking paths. Beautiful Views. Cave. Forest. Historic Site.
What to bring -
Hiking Boots. Pack up/Drink. Change for Cafe - You will need to pre book your Cave admission but I will let you know once they go on sale.
