Puzzlewood &/or Clearwell Caves via Symonds Yat Rock - Forest of Dean Sunday 24th August

Join us for a real adventure into the Forest of Dean!

Heading firstly to the Clearwell Caves which lies  Underneath the mysterious Forest of Dean,  a colourful world, spectacular and unseen by many, a vast natural cave system that has been mined for thousands of years.

Then off to the enchanted world of Puzzlewood, a unique and ancient woodland in the heart of the Forest of Dean. Puzzlewood is a rare temperate rainforest and a popular filming location, which has featured in Harry Potter, Star Wars, Doctor Who and many more.

Then finally a very quick walk up to the Symonds Yat Rock, home to an Iron aged hill fort built around 2500 years ago!
Which also promises the best views of the River Wye  and surrounding area, from this internationally famous viewpoint you could expect to view Peregrine Falcons. With a little patience, there are many other birds that you can seen here, including goshawks, sparrowhawks and buzzards. Ospreys also often stop here in the spring and autumn migration. You can also try spotting tawny owls, barn owls, ravens and kestrels.
