🗻 Scafell Pike – 978m
🗻 Yr Wyddfa (Snowdon) – 1,085m
Around 23 miles of walking and approximately 3,000 metres of climbing across three incredible mountains in 24hrs!
This is going to be a proper adventure!
Day 1 – Thursday 14 May
Crewe → Fort William
We’ll meet in Crewe and begin our journey north to the Scottish Highlands.
There’s no mountain climbing today. We’ll travel up to Fort William and check into Glen Nevis Youth Hostel, situated right at the foot of Ben Nevis.
You’ll have the evening to settle in, get something to eat, prepare your walking kit and get a good night’s sleep before the challenge begins.
Your night’s accommodation is included in the price.
Day 2 – Friday 15 May
The National Three Peaks Challenge begins!
Have breakfast, get your boots on and make those final kit checks.
Then it’s time to go!
🏔️ 11:00am – Ben Nevis
At approximately 11am we’ll begin our first climb – and we’re starting with the big one!
Ben Nevis is the highest mountain in the UK at 1,345 metres.
We’ll be accompanied by our mountain guide as we tackle the mountain together.
Once everyone is safely back down, it’s time to get aboard the minibus.
While you rest, eat and hopefully get some sleep, our drivers will take us south towards the Lake District.
Mountain 2 – Scafell Pike 🌙
Next up is England’s highest mountain.
Depending on our progress on Ben Nevis and the journey south, Scafell Pike is likely to involve walking during the evening or overnight.
A good headtorch will therefore be an essential part of your kit.
Once everyone is safely back down, you’ll be able to climb aboard, get comfortable and rest while we head for Wales.
Two down…
One to go!
Mountain 3 – Yr Wyddfa 🏔️
Our final challenge takes us into beautiful Eryri for Yr Wyddfa – better known to many as Snowdon.
At 1,085 metres, it’s the highest mountain in Wales and the final summit of our Three Peaks adventure.
Reaching that third summit after everything you’ve already accomplished is going to be a pretty special moment.
Once we’re safely back down, it’s time to celebrate!
We’ll then begin our return journey to Crewe.

How tough is it?
We’re not going to pretend this is an easy weekend away!
The National Three Peaks Challenge involves approximately 23 miles of walking and around 3,000 metres of ascent.
You’ll also have limited recovery time between the mountains.
You don’t need to be an experienced mountaineer, but you do need a good level of fitness and you’ll need to train beforehand.
We’ll provide a recommended kit list and further information to help you prepare before the challenge.
Safety comes first
Mountains don’t always cooperate with our plans!
Weather, mountain conditions, traffic and the pace of the group can all affect timings.
The mountain guide will make decisions based on the conditions on the day and their instructions must be followed.
Our aim is for everyone to complete all three mountains, but no summit or completion time can be guaranteed.
Getting everyone safely through the experience will always be the priority.
Fancy taking on the challenge?
Three mountains.
Three countries.
Around 23 miles on foot.
And one adventure you’ll be talking about for a very long time. 🏔️
We’ll take care of the driving, accommodation, guide and logistics.
You just need to bring the boots, the training and plenty of determination! 💜
